Slide Valve Specifications

The bulk feed bin slide valve comes complete with all hardware and a steel slide plate. The inside dimension of the slide gate is 6" x 10" and the OD is 8 1/2" x 12". It has a total weight of 6 pounds and makes unloading your grain a breeze. Simply slide the valve to the position that gives you the desired dispensing flow and slide it shut to stop the flow. A simple and easy way to unload your grain!

The Stainless Steel Option includes stainless steel nuts, bolts, and the entire slide valve assembly as well!

This valve is used with the Poly Boots on Grain Bins and Mini Feed Bins. It is easily attached to the straight boot and the 30-degree grain bin boots for unloading the bins.

Description of the Slide Valve and Use

This slide valve is a crucial component found at the bottom of feed bins or silos, designed to control the discharge of feed or grain. This valve consists of a sliding plate or gate mechanism that can be manually pulled open or pushed closed. An operator can adjust the valve using a lever or handle to control the flow of feed or materials from the bottom of the bin.

When the valve is closed, it prevents feed from flowing out, and when open, it allows for a controlled flow of feed through the outlet. It can be partially opened for slower releases and opened fully for maximum dispersal of grain.

A box for unloading with an auger can be directly attached, or a bucket can be filled by allowing the feed to fall directly from the bin.
