80-Gallon Hog Waterer with Two Drinking Stations

The 80-gallon hog waterer has a 35-inch diameter and two separate drinking openings. Each drinking area is approximately 18 inches wide and 17 inches tall with a 6-inch trough lip and its own drain plug for cleaning. Its polyethylene body resists rust, and the protected internal float-and-valve assembly regulates water in the drinking areas.

Important: The internal drinking-area float system and the optional automatic reservoir refill valve perform different functions. The reservoir can be filled manually, or the separately offered automatic refill accessory can help maintain stored water. Confirm included parts and connection requirements for your selected configuration.

Hog Drinker Inserts for Poly Stock Tanks

A hog drinker insert fits compatible round-end or quarter-style polyethylene stock tanks and creates a lower drinking opening for pigs. It is designed for poly tanks and is not suitable for metal stock tanks. Verify the manufacturer's required opening dimensions, mounting hardware and tank compatibility before cutting or modifying an existing tank.

For the tank itself, compare the round-end poly stock tanks. A bare stock tank and a stock tank fitted with a hog drinker are different purchasing configurations; confirm which parts are included.

Hog Waterer Valves, Floats and Heating Accessories

• Automatic Water Valve: An optional refill kit for compatible tanks that connects to a water supply and helps maintain reservoir levels.
• 80-Gallon Hog Waterer Float Valve: A replacement for the 80-gallon waterer's internal valve assembly. It is not interchangeable with the separate hog drinker insert valve.
• Hog Drinker Float: A replacement assembly for the compatible Sioux Steel hog drinker insert, not for the 80-gallon complete waterer.
• Drain Hole Heater: A heating accessory for selected tank installations. Check fit, electrical requirements and the manufacturer's installation instructions before use.

What to Check Before Buying Pig Waterers

• Animal access: Match drinking height and opening dimensions to the pigs using the system, including smaller nursery animals.
• Daily demand: Plan for the number and size of hogs, available water pressure, flow rate and frequency of inspections. A large tank alone does not guarantee adequate access during peak demand.
• Water cleanliness: Inspect the reservoir, trough, drain plugs and valves frequently. Flush or clean according to the equipment instructions.
• Cold weather: Check freeze-protection compatibility. Do not assume an unheated poly tank or an optional heater will maintain drinking water in every temperature or installation.
• Replacement parts: Identify whether you own an 80-gallon complete waterer or a tank-mounted hog drinker insert, because their float assemblies are different.
