Temptrol Used As Reflective Curtain Panels

As a proud user of Temptrol reflective fabric, I can attest to its remarkable versatility and effectiveness. Winner of the AMICAL Technical Award in the Industrial Category for 2005, Temptrol revolutionizes the concept of lightweight, flexible reflective materials, making it perfect for a wide range of applications. I chose to make curtain panels out of Temptrol, utilizing small tension rods to easily set them into my windows during the summer and remove them for the winter.

What impressed me most about Temptrol is its ease of use. Whether sewing by hand or using a machine, this fabric is incredibly easy to work with. It cuts smoothly and cleanly without leaving residue, making the sewing process hassle-free.

I strategically stitched Temptrol to the window-facing side of my blackout curtains, leaving some sections unlined for flexibility. This setup effectively keeps the heat in during winter by directing the reflective side toward the bedroom. In summer, removable Temptrol panels placed against the glass behind Venetian blinds with the reflective side facing out significantly reduce heat transfer, especially in rooms furthest from the HVAC system.

Before using Temptrol, the south-facing windows in my home turned the surrounding area into a furnace during summer afternoons. However, after installing the panels, the walls remained cool to the touch all day long, and the comfort level in that area improved drastically.
