Available in 60° and 67° slopes with a standard 16" hopper opening, Sioux Steel hopper panels are die-formed with rounded corners and down-turned sealing edges for safety and a weather-tight fit. Constructed using high tensile steel sidewall sheets with a G-90 commercial galvanized coating for outstanding strength and durability.

Feed Bin Description

These high-capacity hopper bins are designed to store grain in feed until needed. Their large capacities are calculated using 40 pounds per cubic foot with no compaction of free-flowing material. The bin walls are made with G-90 galvanized steel for extra strength.

The roof is reinforced with structural ribbing that increases the strength at the seams. The lid itself is opened and closed from the ground lever and measures 23-1/2" in diameter. The large size makes filling the bin easy.

Lower hopper wall sections are offset to promote the smooth flow of feed to the boot slide valve, the side-mounted slide valve, or an auger.

The hopper seam stiffeners should be added when high-fat, non-free-flowing, and denser feeds are being stored. It comes standard on the large 9' diameter, which is 3 or more rows high. It is necessary to install an appropriate agitator in feed bins storing soybean meal, cottonseed meal, hot feeds, and other products that are not considered free-flowing material

All bulk feed bins include the following standard features: Ground control fill cap, roof panels, 2.66 corrugated sidewalls, and 16" hopper openings with collar.

Summarized Review of the Grain Bin

As a farmer focused on providing the best care for my livestock, this grain bin has been an excellent addition to my operation. Its large storage capacity allows me to keep a bulk supply of feed on hand, which has saved me time and money.

Ease of Use and Assembly:

The assembly process, while straightforward, did take some time. However, the instructions were clear, and once it was up, the bin worked exactly as described. Dispensing the grain is simple and efficient, making feeding time much quicker.

Benefits of Storage Capacity:

The ability to store large amounts of feed has been a huge advantage. It’s allowed me to buy in bulk, avoid frequent trips for resupply, and always ensure I have enough feed on hand, especially during busy seasons when running out could be a major setback.

Durability and Maintenance:

The bin is solidly built and has held up well against the elements, needing little maintenance. Its durability gives me confidence that it will continue to serve my farm for many seasons to come.

Review:

This grain bin has been a fantastic investment. While it took some time to assemble, the ease of use, large storage capacity, and convenience of bulk feed dispensing have made it well worth the effort. I highly recommend it to any farmer looking to improve their feed storage and feeding process.
