This is a large, one-piece feeder that ships from Ft Worth, TX. It does not break down for shipping, and orders of two or more are typically required.
A Hay Rack and Feed Trough in One Cattle Feeder
This cattle combination feeder brings a raised hay rack and a steel feed pan together in one welded unit. The rack holds hay above the trough, while the pan provides a place to feed grain and mineral supplements. It also catches loose hay that falls from the rack, helping keep more feed off the ground.
The combined layout is convenient where you want to offer forage and supplemental feed at the same feeding location. Instead of maintaining a separate rack and feed pan, you can fill and inspect both parts of the feeder during your regular feeding routine.

Use the Feeder Pan for Grain and Minerals
The lower trough gives you an accessible place to distribute grain, mineral supplements and other suitable dry feed. Having the pan directly below the hay rack keeps the feeding area organized and makes it easier to check what has been consumed when you return to refill the hay.
Use supplements according to their feeding directions and your herd's ration plan. The open pan does not meter intake or automatically create a balanced diet. Keeping it clean and checking leftover feed helps you manage each feeding without old material accumulating beneath the rack.
Catch Falling Hay to Help Minimize Waste
Cattle pull and rearrange hay while eating, and some loose material falls through the rack. The trough below intercepts that hay before it reaches the ground, where it can be trampled into mud or bedding. Cattle can continue eating suitable hay collected in the pan.
This design is intended to help minimize waste rather than eliminate it. Fill the rack with an appropriate amount, check the pan regularly and remove wet or spoiled material. Keeping the feeding surface usable helps preserve the benefit of catching the falling hay.
Hay Rack and Trough Layout

Solid, One-Piece Welded Construction
The feeder's welded construction joins the hay rack, supporting frame and trough into a single unit. There are no separate rack sections to assemble before feeding, and the rack stays aligned over the pan that catches falling hay. The steel-tube frame supports the rack above the double-V trough.
A gray enamel finish covers the steel. As part of routine care, inspect the frame, rack and trough for wear or damage and address worn finish areas as needed. Keeping accumulated feed and debris out of the pan also makes the feeding area easier to maintain.
Placement and Delivery Planning
Choose a firm, level location with room for cattle to approach and for you to load hay and distribute feed. Consider access for the equipment needed to unload and place the feeder. Because this is a large, one-piece unit, plan its route into the feeding area before delivery.
