Specifications

The H-15-rated cattle guard is eight feet long and available with optional wings and preformed concrete foundations. The 12-ton per axle loading rating is a minimum, and an extra 30% safety factor is added for additional safety and peace of mind for your heavier loads. The smooth top rail allows for smoother vehicle crossings at higher speeds while maintaining the effective livestock barrier necessary to keep your herd from escaping! Perfect for farm and ranch applications, these cattle grids work well on private roads as well.

This effective livestock barrier has been designed for smooth vehicle crossings at high speeds while maintaining the necessary structural integrity to carry heavy loads of 12 tons per axle. It is finished in a green or optional black powder coat finish for longevity and is designed to be able to bolt down to the precast concrete footings if desired. See pictures of the concrete foundations below, and see all of our H15 CATTLE GUARDS for other lengths and options to fit your project.

Concrete Cattle Guard Foundations

These foundations made quick work of the installation process. They are designed to be lowered directly to the ground upon arrival at the site, and the preset J bolt anchors secure your crossing together and prevent any movement off the bases. You no longer have to pour your concrete foundation and wait for it to cure. These prefabricated footings provide a solid and secure foundation for your cattle grid. See the matching set of 8' concrete foundations here.

Cattle Guard Wing

The cattle guard wing itself is the triangle wing section shown in the picture, and it's supported by the separate steel post installed vertically. This two-piece configuration prevents livestock animals from 'stepping around the end' where the fence line connects to the grate.
