Livestock Gates

When you need a livestock gate that can stand up to years of use on a farm, ranch, feedlot, or livestock facility, Sioux Steel livestock gates are built for the job. The gates offer a wide range of cattle gates, farm gates, ranch gates, horse gates, hog gates, and heavy-duty livestock gates designed for everything from pasture entrances and driveways to working corrals, feedlots, bull pens, and high-crowding areas.

These gates are manufactured from high-tensile tubular steel and are available in several designs and levels of strength. Whether you need a lightweight gate for a pasture, a general-purpose cattle gate, a heavy-duty corral gate, or a specialized gate for hogs and high-confinement livestock, there is a gate designed for the application.

Choose the Right Gate for Your Operation

Livestock gates are available in several product families. The best choice depends on the type of livestock being contained, the amount of pressure the gate will encounter, the required gate height, and whether the gate will be used for a pasture, driveway, corral, feedlot, working pen, or other livestock application.

Heavy-duty Gates

Victory Gates are premium, heavy-duty livestock gates and are designed for demanding farm and ranch applications. They feature heavy-duty Z-bar vertical braces, rounded tops, high-tensile steel tubing, and a durable prairie gold powder-coat finish.

The Victory line includes several configurations to accommodate different livestock and applications:

  • 2" Victory Gates – A popular heavy-duty farm and ranch gate designed for demanding livestock applications. The 2" Victory Gate is 50" tall with six rails and heavy-duty Z-bar bracing.
  • 1.5" Victory Gates – A durable option for applications where a slightly lighter gate is appropriate while still providing the strength and construction associated with the Victory line.
  • 2" Victory Tall Gates – A 62"-tall, seven-rail gate designed to provide additional height for applications where extra containment is important.
  • 2" Victory Hog Gates – A 38"-tall, six-rail gate designed specifically for hog and swine applications.

Victory Gates use high-tensile structural steel, Z-bar vertical braces, and a patented T-slot latch with a chain. The combination provides a strong, balanced gate suitable for cattle, hogs, horses, and other livestock depending on the model.

HiQual Livestock Gates

HiQual gates provide a broad selection of square-top livestock gates for everything from light confinement and pasture use to heavy confinement, feedlots, bull pens, and working corrals. HiQual gates are designed with square corners for livestock safety and feature notched and welded bracing for additional strength.

Heavy-duty gate

The HiQual gate lineup includes:

  • 1.5" General Duty Gates – An economical choice for medium- to light-confinement applications. These gates feature 1.5" tubing, 16-gauge rails, stronger 14-gauge posts, and a balanced design. They are well suited for pastures, driveways, riding arenas, horses, sheep, goats, deer, and other lighter-duty livestock applications.
  • 2" Heavy Duty Gates – An all-purpose heavy-duty livestock gate designed for cows, calves, yearlings, horses, pastures, driveways, and general confinement. The 2" tubing and 58,000-psi high-tensile steel provide substantial strength for demanding farm and ranch use.
  • 2" Cattleman's Gates – Designed for feedlots, working corrals, bull pens, sale barns, calving barns, and other heavy-confinement applications. The Cattleman's Gate adds a sixth rail and closer lower-rail spacing compared with the standard Heavy Duty Gate for increased livestock containment.
  • 2" Super Six Gates – One of the most heavy-duty HiQual gate options, with six 2" rails made from 14-gauge material and a 59" overall height. These gates are designed for demanding applications such as bull pens, bison and elk pens, stallion pens, rodeo arenas, crowding areas, and heavy confinement.
  • Combo Gates with Mesh Panels – A versatile choice for smaller livestock and mixed-animal applications. The welded mesh insert helps contain calves, goats, sheep, dogs, llamas, and other animals that may pass through the openings of conventional livestock gates.

Red Guardian Livestock Gates

Guardian Gates provide a higher-quality economy option for customers who need dependable livestock containment without moving into the heavier Victory or HiQual heavy-duty gate lines. Red Guardian Gates feature 2" high-tensile tubular steel, six rails, rounded tops, heavy-duty Z-bar vertical braces, and a patented T-slot latch with a 36" chain.

Available in a wide range of lengths, Red Guardian Gates are a practical choice for pastures, livestock pens, farm entrances, and general agricultural fencing where dependable construction and value are important considerations.

Walk-Thru and Bow Gates

Barn World also offers specialized walk-through gates and bow gates for round pens, arenas, working corrals, and livestock facilities where convenient access is important.

bow gates for walking through a fence line

Victory Walk-Thru Gates provide a convenient pedestrian and equipment-access opening while maintaining a livestock gate within the existing fence or corral system. The 7-foot-high frame provides clearance for small tractors, UTVs, and other smaller vehicles, making these gates particularly useful around livestock facilities.

Victory Bow Gates are designed to provide access to round pens, arenas, and working corrals. They use the same durable Victory-style construction, including prairie gold powder coating, round tops, Z-bar uprights, and chain latching.

HiQual Heavy Duty Frame Gates provide a portable, heavy-duty gate solution for crowding pens, alleys, feedlots, rodeo facilities, and riding arenas. The large frame and spring-loaded plunger latch make them particularly useful where a strong, portable access point is needed.

HiQual Heavy Duty PG4 Gates combine a heavy-duty panel with a 4-foot walk-through gate. The spring-loaded plunger latch provides quick access while the panel construction provides additional confinement and support. These units are available in both five-rail and six-rail configurations.

Built for Cattle, Horses, Hogs and Other Livestock

Choosing the right livestock gate starts with considering the animals and the environment where the gate will be used. A pasture gate may have very different requirements than a bull pen or feedlot gate. The large range of gate sizes, rail configurations, tubing diameters, heights, and bracing designs makes it easier to select a gate suited to the job.

For cattle and beef operations, heavy-duty Victory and HiQual gates provide options for pastures, cattle pens, feedlots, working corrals, and high-pressure areas. For horses, lighter-duty and general-duty models can be used for pastures, paddocks, arenas, and driveways. The Victory Hog Gate provides a shorter gate profile specifically suited to swine applications, while the HiQual Combo Gate uses a mesh insert for smaller animals that could escape through conventional rail spacing.

High-Tensile Steel Construction

Many livestock gates use high-tensile tubular steel rated at up to 58,000 psi. Depending on the model, gates are constructed with 1.5" or 2" tubing, different gauge materials, notched and welded braces, and specialized hinge and latch designs.

The construction details vary by gate model because different livestock applications require different levels of strength and containment. Heavy-duty gates use larger tubing, heavier rails, additional bracing, or closer rail spacing where appropriate. Lighter-duty models provide a practical solution when maximum gate strength is not required.

Livestock Gate Features Designed for Real Farm and Ranch Use

These gates are designed around the practical demands of livestock handling. Depending on the model, features include:

  • High-tensile tubular steel construction
  • Heavy-duty Z-bar vertical bracing
  • Notched and welded braces for added strength
  • Square or rounded tops depending on the gate design
  • Patented T-slot latches and secure chains on many models
  • Heavy-duty hinges and adjustable hinge designs
  • Powder-coated finishes for long-term durability
  • Multiple gate heights and rail configurations
  • Lengths ranging from compact 4-foot gates to 20-foot models on selected lines
  • Specialized designs for hogs, horses, cattle, and smaller livestock

Gates for Farms, Ranches and Livestock Facilities

Whether you are replacing an old farm gate, building a new cattle corral, expanding a pasture, setting up a feedlot, or constructing a livestock working area, the gates are designed for a wide range of agricultural applications.

From the economical Red Guardian and HiQual General Duty gates to the heavy-duty Victory, Cattleman's, and Super Six models, you can select the level of strength and containment appropriate for your livestock operation. Specialized bow, walk-through, frame, and mesh-panel gates provide additional options when standard livestock gates do not meet the requirements of the application.
