This 1,000 pound capacity multipurpose floor scale can weight everything from animals to packages. The tough steel platform measures 55.5 inches by 20.1 inches and has ramps on both ends for easy access. The long 15-foot cable allows for easy reading, and the scale is pre-calibrated and even the indicator in made of stainless steel. The AC adapter is included as is the 6V DC rechargeable battery and AC adapter.

Both the PS1000 and PS2000 are not weatherproof. They can get wet if the water is minimal ie: from an animal or if it got caught in the rain, but it is recommended that it be dried off and stored indoors.

Attached is the calibration procedure for the PS2000 floor scale. For technical questions you may call 800-242-2807 for Brad or Carol in the service tech support group. We are available Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm CST. CALIBRATION OF THE PS-2000 A minimum 25% of scale capacity is needed in order to calibrate the scale. 1. Turn on the scale. The indicator goes thru display test. When it becomes stable, we are ready to calibrate the scale. With no weight on the scale. 2. Press the TARE and the ZERO/OFF/ON buttons at the same time, the display will show Cal.-? 3. Press the TARE button, then the display will show the capacity of the scale 2000 then d-- 1 CAL.P0 Follow by 0 with the digit flashing. 4. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and show CAL.P1, 1000.You will need to key in a calibration weigh equal to 500 lbs. or the calibration weight that you have. (A minimum 25% of scale capacity is needed in order to calibrate the scale.) Place the weight on the scale, and key in your calibration weight from right to left by using the UNIT key to scroll your numbers up/down and use the HOLD/PRINT key to advance you to the left to enter your next number. Do this until the last digit on the left is flashing. 5. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and display CAL.P2, with calibration weight still on the scale. You will need to key in your calibration weight from right to left, using the same procedure in STEP 4. 6. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and display CAL.P0. then 0 Take calibration weight off the scale. 7. Press the TARE button, the display will flash 0 and go back to the weigh mode. Your scale is calibrated and should weigh correctly. If for some reason this does not work with your scale please call Salter Brecknell Technical Support

No, we do not have drawings for a cage. I know there are many local suppliers that can provide you with a cage. The scale would simply sit underneath the cage.

Their is no cage available for this scale at this time, however others have built their own around it.

This scale is put into alley ways or people build their own rails around the scale for hog weighing.

Yes you can build a cage and attach to the bottom. However you would need to take the load cells out before you did this so that you would not damage them. You would also have to recalibrate and your maximum weighing capacity would decrease. You can build a cage around it and place the PS1000 in it like an alleyway. This is how some hog crate scales are made.
