Equine Hay Feeder

This unique horse hay feeder is designed to collapse as the bale decreases in size, so there isn't any unreachable hay stranded in the center of the feeder. As the horses lean on the heavy-duty uprights to feed, the hinged sections allow the feeder to close around the bale so it can be eaten completely. The hinges release the pressure of the leaning animals and allow the sides to move inward, making sure every bit of hay is accessed. You don't need to move the hay to the outside of the feeder; the horses will close the feeder around the hay!

This adjustable horse hay feeder is built for both livestock and horses to have easy access to large bales from when the bale starts out large and uneaten, all the way down to the smaller size when consumed. The pin and loop connections are safe for horses and make them easy to set up. The panels are easy to move in when you need to provide access to the smaller bale as it's consumed and is usually moved by your animals under normal feeding pressures. The strong frame is made with steel, 1-3/4" steel tubing, and the hay-saving steel skirt around the bottom of the feeder keeps the loose hay from being trampled and accessible to your animals.

How does this feeder shrink in size as the bale is eaten down? Do you have poly feeders?

Thank you for your interest in the Collapsing Horse Hay Feeder. As the bale gets smaller, the horses will lean on the sides of the feeder to reach it. This slight pressure is enough to move the walls inward on its hinges. The feeder is made smaller by the animals using it, there are not mechanical features or springs, just the closing on the hinges themselves.
