The body of this feeder does not break down for shipping. It ships as one piece from Missouri, and it's very difficult to ship a single feeder economically. Please call or email, and we'll be happy to forward a quote with shipping to you!
Calf Creep Feeder with Folding Pen
This single-sided calf creep feeder holds up to 600 pounds of feed and includes a folding pen with adjustable entry height. The pen is designed to give calves access to supplemental feed while restricting access by larger cattle. Check the opening against the size of your animals before use; effective separation depends on the animals and the entry-bar setting.
An all-welded square-tubing frame supports the feeder. Tapered steel skids with two loops help with repositioning, while the folding pen provides access around the feeding area. A filling lid allows access to the hopper, and an adjustable feed gate lets you adjust feed delivery to the trough.

How a Calf Creep Feeder Works
Creep feeding gives calves a separate place to eat supplemental feed while they remain with the cow herd. The surrounding pen limits the entrance size, helping reserve the feeding area for smaller animals. Adjust the horizontal bar as calves grow and observe access to confirm that the setting suits your herd.
The hopper stores feed above the trough, and the feed gate controls how much is presented at the feeding area. Adjust the gate to suit the feed being used and check for bridging, blockages or excessive accumulation. Feed selection and intake targets should fit your calf-feeding program; a feeder alone does not guarantee weight gain, improved health or lower feed costs.
Placement and Routine Checks
Choose a stable location where calves can approach the pen and where you can reach the feeder for filling and inspection. Check the pen, entry bars and surrounding ground regularly. The covered hopper helps shelter stored feed, but feed condition still needs attention. Inspect for moisture, spoiled feed and obstructions, and keep the trough clean rather than treating the hopper capacity as a reason to leave the feeder unattended.
Compare the Double-Sided Creep Feeder
Need more storage or access from both sides? The separate 1,200-pound double-sided creep feeder offers a larger hopper and feeding access on two sides. Review that model's specifications to compare its footprint and pen arrangement with this 600-pound single-sided feeder.
