The entry side of the crowding tub details the locking feature of the door itself. As the cattle are moved through the tub area, they aren't allowed to push the door back open and are directed into the alley for a single-file entry. The adjustable livestock alley allows for the walls to be set from 16" up to 30" wide. It also comes with a "no-back" bar that drops in behind them to prevent backup. It's a complete system with a full catwalk and grease pivot points for easy maintenance.

How to use the portable livestock working system

Keeping yourself and your animals safe is the first order of business when working your herd. A calm and orderly process keeps you and your cattle stress-free and allows you to work with them more easily. Below is a quick review of how the flow of the group is managed to create a calm and safe working environment for both humans and animals.

The Crowding Tub

The tub provides a collection point and is designed to move from a group to a single file, orderly line of cattle for processing. Below are pictures showing how it works.

Cattle enter the tub area

The first point of entry allows for the collection of a small group of cows for processing into a manageable single file line.

Crowding Tub Release Door

Cattle may be released from the tub through the side door and removed from the herd and processing line. Animals may be sorted out of the tub directly through the side-release door and moved to re-enter the tub or be removed from the working process and sent to another pasture entirely.
