We now have a new plastic horse feeder called THE TRANS-FEEDER. It can be used to create a multitude of different sizes and types of hay feeders. It even has a floor option. It can be quickly assembled to make a single small square bale feeder or it can also be used to make feeders for many different sized large bales of hay. All floor and wall panels are all the same part. They are sold in pairs. SHOWN LEFT: 2 x 3, with 6 floor panels (= 16 panels or 8 pairs)

| QUESTION: can I build a small cube using only one panel for each side with a floor. Would that work and would I need bolts? |
| ANSWER: The smallest "cube" you can make is a 1 x 1, which is approximately 3' x 3', and consists of (5) total panels. You would use (4) of the panels as the side of the cube and (1) of the panels as the floor. You would need to order (1) set of u/j bolt kits to attach floor. Since we only sell these in a (2 pak) you would have to order (3) sets. That would leave you with (1) extra panel.

| QUESTION: What would I need for a one horse feeder? |
| ANSWER: A 3' x 3' with a floor would be adequate to feed one horse. A 3' x 3' with a floor would require you to purchase (3) cartons as you'd need (5) panels = (4) for the sides and (1) for the floor, plus you'd have to order (1) floor bolt kit.

| QUESTION: From looking at your website, it looks like I would need a 2x2 with 4 floor panels in order to feed large round bales for horses. Are the floor panels necessary, and how do they hold up when dropping the large hale bale from the tractor spear? |
| ANSWER: For a larger bale, you would want a larger size. A floor is not necessary, several have used this without the floor, but I personally feel it makes the entire unit a little more stable. As for "dropping" the bale, the floor can withstand some weight, however, how far you plan on dropping it would be the major question. To hoise the bale up 8-10' in the air and then drop it, I would not recommend that strategy. |

| ANSWER: Yes you can, but you would have to attach an "L" bracket to the poly panel which can be purchased at a local hardware store. |

| ANSWER: You would be correct unless you wanted a floor. Then you would need (8) panels or (4) cartons as well as (2) u bolt/j bolt kits to bolt the floor together.
This would make your hay bale feeder be a 3' (36") x 6' (72"). If you only go with (6) panels, (2) would be used a floor, but your hay feeder would only be a 3' x 3' and not quite large enough to hold your 40" bale.

| ANSWER: We wouldn't recommend that these panels be used as a fenceline. The strength of these panels comes from using them together. A single panel can be used as a corner feeder as that type of application, however, to do a 16' line might be pushing the window. Now, in you were to use posts or other type of support every 4-5', then they would work fine.

| ANSWER: What size hay bales are you feeding, are they round or squares and do you want the floor option because the U & J bolts are only required with a floor configuration larger than two panels wide by two or more panels long. |

| QUESTION: Is that 99 for 2 panels? We need 2 feeders large enough to hold a 500 lbs round bale each so how many panels would I need? I would want a bottom or floor to the feeder as long as it drains well - is the floor just several panels as well- the same as the side panel in differnt application? | ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. You are correct, they are priced as a pair.
I will assume that your 500lb round bales are 4' x 5'. Each panel is 3'x 3', so a 2 panel x 2 panel square feeder would work. If you wanted a floor, then you would need a total of 12 panels or 6 boxes. In addition, to reinforce the floor, you would need to purchase (4) U & J bolt sets.
The floor panels are the same as the side panels, so you can see that there would be adequate drainage. |

ANSWER: For a 2’ x 4’ bale of hay, I would recommend a 1 x 2 feeder (3’ x 6’). Floor is optional.

| ANSWER: The Trans-Feeder pieces are sold in a box set containing 2 panels. The idea behind the Trans-Feeder is that it`s customizable. You can create any sized feeder you desire. For example, we have a 2 x 3 feeder, with 6 floor panels pictured on the website beside the product description. This feeder would require 8 pairs (8 boxes) to construct.

| QUESTION: What keeps these feeders together, bolts?
|
| ANSWER: The panel members are formed with a plurality of openings for the insertion of fasteners in a manner to connect one panel member to another and adjoining panels to be interconnected. Each of the fastener openings are recessed to allow fastener heads and nuts to be recessed into the body portion of the panel so that these fasteners do not project outwardly.
The use of the floor option feeder assembly will provide a more stable and rigid feeder assembly and will keep the hay bale(s)placed therein off the ground to minimize waste, particularly for horses. When using a double row of floor panels such as a 2 x 2 or larger special U-bolts and -J-bolts must be used to secure the floor panels to the wallpanels - these fastners are located under the floor of the away from the horses reach and do not project out anyways so please specify how many floor panels you are designing for your use. For examples a 1x1, 1x2 & (1 x anything) will not require any special U & J bolts fastners. But a 2x2 or larger will, the formula is simple a 2x2 feeder will require =4 sets of U & J bolts, a 2x3=6 sets of U & J bolts and so on. The cost per set of U & J bolts are $6.50 per floor panel so please be sure to include this in your order, and rememder it is only be require for feeders that are greater then a 2x2 feeder with a floor option.
If a floor portion is not utilized, the side portions of the feeder assemblies can be used as a ground feeder that is placed around the hay bale(s) Such a ground feeder ring can be assembled around the bale(s)of hay to be fed.
