| The Q&A on this Product |
|
|
| QUESTION: I have two horses: Will this product do? Also the feeder looks it can be toppled easily. Does it have to be anchored or is it stable as is?
How much would the shipping be to 20164 |
| ANSWER: This would be adequate for (2) horses. It is very sturdy or sturdier than any of our competitor bunk feeders in this same style. Of course, a steel bunk would be heavier and more stable. You could certainly anchor it down. I don't know if your horses are a breed that are more aggressive than others, but these units are a an excellent product for your horses. |
|
| QUESTION: This looks like it could fall over very easily. Will it fit a large bale? |
| ANSWER: I don't know how large of a bale you are referring to, but this unit is intended for loose or smaller square bales.

|
| QUESTION: I'm looking for a hay feeder for my 3 horses. Horses naturally eat with their heads down so I was wondering if I should looking into getting a feeder that's shorter than the usual for horses.
|
| ANSWER: You are correct with your statement that horses were naturally born and created to eat off the ground. It is actually better for their digestive system according to most vets.
That being said, we have several options for you. You could go with a poly lined feed bunk and purchase the "cattle" bunk which is lower to the ground, or you could purchase a horse hay feeder which allows your horse to lean through the "hoops" on the feeder and reach down or into the hay feeder to get its hay

| QUESTION: I am interested in this 4 feet bunk feeder, item no. S176189S. Is this a suitable height for miniature donkeys? Is there anything similar that is lower to the ground?
Thank you,
Ginger Fearn

| ANSWER: I feel that the horse hay feeder that you are asking about may be a little tall for your minature donkeys. I would recommend either the 4' sheep feeder w/poly insert with a height of 14" off the ground (S176190S) or the 4' cattle feeder w/poly insert with a height of 26" off the ground (S176183S). Either one of these units would better serve your needs for your donkeys. Make sure that you order the optional hay rack as the hay rack does not come with the unit and I would recommend that you purchase this hay rack as well.
